Welcome to Florida's Premier Judicial Event!

With the nation preparing to mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the Florida Supreme Court Historical Society will mark the celebration during A Supreme Evening 2026 on January 22 in Tallahassee with an insightful and stimulating conversation on the global impact of the country’s founding document.

The Evening will live up to its well-earned reputation among the state’s legal community as a “must-attend event.”

A Supreme Evening 2026 will feature updates on Florida's Court, presented by Chief Justice Carlos Muñiz, followed by a compelling fireside chat with the Acclaimed American historian Dr. Allen Guelzo, recognized nationally for his contributions to the field, moderated by Justice Charles T. Canady. Their discussion will delve into the historical context of our current political climate, posing the question of whether we have encountered similar challenges in the past. To commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the signing of our country's Declaration of Independence in 2026, this conversation will offer invaluable insights into the foundational principles of our nation and its global impact that is still reverberating today.
