The Florida Supreme Court Historical Society’s annual dinner, 'A Supreme Evening', Florida’s premier judicial event with the well-earned reputation in the state’s legal community as the “must attend event” of the year.

This year's dinner will be held on January 25th.  A prolific trial attorney with a highly successful 30-plus year career, our keynote presenter Hilarie Bass is known for her leadership and her philanthropy.  The Greenberg Traurig co-president is one of the most prominent women attorneys in the United States, and helps oversee the multi-practice firm with approximately 2,000 attorneys across 38 offices worldwide.  She is currently president of the American Bar Association, the world’s largest voluntary professional organization with more than 400,000 members.

Hilarie has successfully represented high-profile corporate clients in jury and non-jury trials involving hundreds of millions of dollars in controversy. She has worked and settled more than 100 cases, tried more than 20 cases to conclusion, and argued numerous appeals. In recognition of that success, she was inducted into The American College of Trial Lawyers.

Mentoring others in the legal field and giving back to the community has always been a top priority for Hilarie.  She has led top legal and community organizations and received numerous prestigious awards for her achievements.  She is also known for her generous fi
nancial support of her alma mater, the University of Miami Law School.

Lifetime Achievement Award

The Florida Supreme Court Historical Society will honor John "Jack" F. Harkness, Jr. with its

 Lifetime Achievement Award at the Annual Dinner.

Jack Harkness, after serving 37 years as executive director of the Florida Bar, is retiring as the nation's longest-serving executive director.  He is also this year's recipient of the Florida Bar Foundation's Medal of Honor, it's highest distinction.

He shepherded the Bar through many changes, including its transition to electronic filing, ensuring appropriate checks and balances were in place.

Individual Dinner Tickets are $95 on or before January 10, 2018

After January 10, 2018 are $115 and $135 at the door, if still available

Event and Table Sponsorships are also available. This Annual Dinner is the main fundraiser for the Historical Society.
